Matt Lucas and David Walliams have signed a three-year ‘golden handcuffs’ deal with the BBC, reportedly worth millions.
They are writing a new series featuring Little Britain’s characters.
Highlights of the season include the adventures of Robin Hood, starring newcomer Jonas Armstrong and due to go out on a Saturday evening.
There will also be a lavish new adaptation of Jane Eyre starring another unknown, Ruth Wilson.
Award-winning film-maker Dominic Savage has written London, a hard-hitting drama about the inequalities between the rich and poor in the capital.
It stars Colin Firth, Robert Carlyle and Anne-Marie Duff are among the cast. Jane Horrocks plays a supermarket manager who becomes prime minister in comedy drama The Amazing Mrs Pritchard.
